Bradley and Gabriel Hanson in Arizona, 2002
Since receiving a Voigtlander
camera as a gift at the age of 10, I’ve been fascinated with the
art of photography. When I first saw a print come to life in the
developer tray, I knew I would be a photographer. I am fortunate
to earn a living doing what I truly love. I have devoted my life
to exploring and improving my skills as a photographer and continue
to do so day after day. I find art in the beauty and geometry of
everyday life, never leaving the house without my camera. I approach
photography with the belief that the reality of each moment is the
ultimate beauty, and that these fleeting moments are the most valuable
to my clients.
My wedding work is
often described as wedding photojournalism or documentary style.
Although I am a Seattle based wedding photographer, I regularly travel
for weddings, and have been commissioned to photograph weddings all
over the world. Recent travel weddings include: Bali-Indonesia, Hong Kong-China,
Udaipur-India, Bangkok-Thailand, Seoul-Korea, Zihuatanejo-Mexico,
Honolulu-Hawaii, Washington DC, Vancouver-BC, Portland-OR, Sun River-OR,
Minneapolis-MN, New York-NY, Phoenix-AZ, Fremont-CA, Palm Springs-CA,
Palo Alto-CA, Berkeley-CA, Carmel-CA, Sausalito-CA and San Francisco-CA.
My work has been featured
in ad campaigns for Amazon.com and Ericsson mobile phones, album
cover art for musicians: Pete Droge, Downpilot, Kim Field and The Mighty Titans of Tone, Rachel Harrington,
Sugartown, Brother Sun Sister Moon, Visqueen, Truckstop Souvenir,
and Broadcast Oblivion. My images have been printed in local and
national magazines, including Rolling Stone (Germany), Seattle Post-Intelligencer,
Seattle Times, Seattle Sound, Seattle Weekly, The Stranger, Photo
District News (PDN), MSNBC.com, ROCKRGRL, The Big Takeover, Three
